A New Life has come to bless us.

I can’t believe that it’s been over a week that I gave birth to our little angel name Beatrice Lorraine Clevenger last May 18, 2009 at Willow Creek Women’s Hospital.  She weighed 9 lbs. and 2 ozs. and 20 ½ inches long.

I didn’t even know that I’m in labor since my contraction isn’t that bad, it started a month ago but last 18 of May my contraction became closer and I just didn’t bother about and just sleep through with it until around 6:30am and my hubby is getting ready for work and I told him about it and he asked if I needed to go to the clinic and I said NO since the pain are still bearable and I hate to hold him up since that would be his last day to report for work before his vacation and I know he would be busy that day.

So I called up my SIL and told her about it and she advices that I’d better go to the clinic and I told her that I really want to go to work so I would just forget about it, so I will have the baby on the 20th (which is also my birthday) which I am scheduled for a C-section cause the baby did not drop for 3 weeks and she is already 9 lbs and my pelvis is small for her head and she said you don’t want to have that baby born in your office and if the clinic said that your not in labor then you can go to work.  So I called up my co-worker and boss to let them know that I think I’m in labor and I can’t make it to the office today.

And I just take my time by calling my MIL and told her that she better be prepared cause I think I’m in labor and the hospital may hold me or let me go home.  And I took shower and iron my hair and my SIL called back in and said you’re still at home and I said yeah I just finished taking shower and I’m fixing my hair and I will call the clinic around 8am since they open at 8am and I called the clinic around 8:45am and told them that I got 5 contractions in 10 minutes and it’s getting to 3 contractions in 5 minutes and the lady on the other line you better come up here soon and I told her that is it okay if I go there later since I’m still fixing myself and she said you better hurry up girl.  Even with hesitations I called up my hubby and told him that the clinic wants to see me soon but I told him just to take his time since I know he is busy and I’m still fixing my hair.

Off we went to the clinic past 9am and waited for a good 10-15 minutes in the lobby after the doctor got to see me and he said that I am dilated to 7 cm, 100% efface and the baby did drop to 0 station and they said we will let you try to do it via Vaginal delivery, since even I was schedule for C-Section and he said go ahead check in at the hospital downstairs.

And off we went to the hospital and we waited for at least 5 to 10 minutes and then I was in the labor room changing to a hospital gown, nurses are getting ready for everything and I was hooked to an IV, the baby monitor was connected to my belly, my blood pressure and contraction was being track in a monitor, and the blood was drawn.  The nurse asked me if I want to have an epidural and I said can I wait for an hour or two cause I’m afraid that the baby would stop progressing and she said if that happens we will give you some pitocin to help and you just have 30 minutes to decide so I went ahead agreed to have some epidural and they went out of the room called up some anesthesiologist and in 10 minutes he is wheeling his tools and keeping everybody settled and working on my back.

So after all the works they had done to me, I’m just there in the bed waiting for the progress and I was fully dilated and still my bag of water hasn’t broke yet and so the nurse called the doctor so they can break it and when they did they waited some more and checking if the baby will drop more in a good station.  Past 3pm the nurse told me that the baby hasn’t drop anymore and she hates that she will let me push for 2 to 3 hours and the baby is not in a good station and I will still end up having the C-Section so he called the doctor and have him evaluate me and indeed he agreed too and he said I will not let the sun go down on you without having this baby.  There’s still someone in the Operating Room and in 30 minutes or so she will be out and you are next.

So another anesthesiologist came in to add more drugs just to make sure that I would be numb for the surgery, and that was the bad part cause I feel like my throat is constricted and I can’t breathe and I keep telling the doctor that I can’t breathe and I’m dying and they were just no you are not you are still talking so you are still breathing and I keep saying it and he keep reassuring me that I’m fine and they wheeled me to the OR and my hubby was left behind to put on some sterile gown for him to join me in the OR.

And when I was settled in the OR we waited for the doctor around 15 to 20 minutes and when he came in the anesthesiologist is keeping me up and he is really nice if I have a little complain he tries to do something to make me feel comfortable and when the doctor started opening me up I feel a little better and after 10 to 20 minutes the baby was delivered at 5:04pm.

The other nurse staffs was working with the baby and the other was working on me, and later my hubby got to hold the baby and show her to me and then they left for the nursery and after they were done with me they wheeled me to the recovery room and after 30 to 45 minutes I was wheeled back to our regular room and after 5 minutes I was joined by my hubby with the baby and my MIL. I was in heaven when I see my baby and the birthing experience was awesome, cause the pain was bearable and things went fast.

And I’m grateful to have a very loving and supportive hubby who was there from the start until we had the baby and he is thoughtful about my well-being. My in-laws who is just so generous and loving they do all there best to cater to our needs. My friends here and abroad and my family back home who make things bearable.  And most of all the Almighty father who never abandoned us through all this journey.

Baby Shower with my co-worker.

Last 15th of April I got my last Baby Shower from the bank, it was Whitney and Crystal's brainstorming that made the shower wonderful and awesome. And again the theme was Honey Bee.

There are a lot of people than what I expected to see from different branches and even gifts from branches that they generously gave us.

Now my baby has almost what she needed.

Baby Shower on an Easter Sunday with Filipino friends.

The 12th of April which is the Easter Sunday, some of my Filipino friends gather for my Baby Shower and we had tons of food to chow down and gifts to open.

Again thank you to all of them who came and who gave gifts for our little one, we do really appreciates it.

Baby Shower with my church family.

My Rolling Hills Baptist Church family gave me a Baby shower last April 5th at the church and there are a lot of women from the church showed up and tons of gifts that I opened double the attendance actually.

My ever dearest MIL was there of course to be with me and we both had a blast with all the gifts that I got.

these are the people who came and some came in late.

the gifts that people from the church had given us and some came in later as well.

Because our nursery's theme is in Honey Bee so I got tons of stuffs that has bees on it or either in yellows.

And this is the winner, I really love this diaper bag that our pastor's wife made especially for me.

Again, I am really thankful of my church family that are so generous and kind to me and my growing family.

Surprise Baby Shower from my In-laws...

My hubby been wanting to go visit his folks in Chouteau, OK but the Saturday that he wanted to visit he had a bad weather it was sleeting and snowing the whole day, so we ended up going home last April 4th, it was a windy Saturday.

That day I had my Breastfeeding class from 8:00am till 10am and I had to dropped my hubby to the church before that so he can help clean up the church after the ice storm we had months ago and still there are limbs to be picked. After my class was over I went to the church and picked him up but have to wait a little cause they are still finishing up and then we head home and change and have lunch on the way since we are heading there pass lunchtime and I even called my MIL if she can cook us some lunch and she said How about Supper and I said YES on it and call my SIL if she is going to go to her parents house since we are going there and she said YES.

As soon we were there I saw balloons tied on the mailbox and lots of cars and when we got into the house then my hubby's family was there and they are giving me a surprise Baby Shower and indeed I was surprised since it should have the 28th of March but we had the bad weather that day and my MIL and SIL pulled it through without my knowledge. And I had a great time with them and got tons of baby stuffs that we need.

Here are some of the photos my hubby took.

One of many monthsary with baba...

My hubby picked me up at the office today one of his daily routine, when we are almost home he told me that he had a surprise(pasalubong in filipino dialect which is he also told me after saying the surprise word) for me waiting at home and of course there are things that crossed my mind but it turned out none of them was right.

And literally I was surprised. He told me that it was his present for me for our monthsary tomorrow for our church wedding day which is August 21st and the civil ceremony was June 15th so either of the two dates we greet each other Happy Monthsary and maybe do a little things here and there. Since I'm leaving tomorrow to go shopping to Branson, MO so he gave it to me earlier and I was thrilled and we tried some of the treats.

Baba, thanks for being such a sweet guy, I am really blessed to have you in my life....mwah....

Here are the pictures of the goodies that he brought home today.
